On October 13, 2026, at the invitation of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Armenia, a regular meeting of the Expert Group on Harmonization of Legislation in the Field of Insurance (Guaranteeing) of Bank Deposits, Liquidation, Financial Recovery, and Bankruptcy of Credit Institutions in the EAEU Member States, operating under the Advisory Committee on Financial Markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission, was held at the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.

The meeting opened with welcoming remarks by Narek Ghazaryan, Member of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, and Hermine Harutyunyan, Director of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Armenia.

On October 14, a practical seminar entitled “Practical Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Deposit Guarantee System Operations” was also held at the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.

In accordance with the agenda, participants discussed several issues relevant to deposit guarantee systems, including:

        1. The appointment of temporary administration for a bank.

        2. Bank insolvency and the grounds for declaring a bank bankrupt.
